Arthur Hoffmann was born in December of 1983 in Frunze, Kyrgyzstan. He grew up mostly in Germany, where he is currently working as an engineer.
Arthur believes that life’s too short to worry too much about mundane things of life. He loves traveling and also likes to connect with different people from around the world.
Besides that, he also looks forward to becoming a more experienced photographer.
Arthur doesn’t usually talk about himself as the third-person (like he’s currently doing as he’s typing this out) but figured that it would make things more interesting if he pretended that someone else wrote this ‘About’ page for him.
Photography is my addiction. It is my drug of choice. It is in photography where I can create a world that I desire.
Let me ask you a question. Did you ever had the feeling that you have to get away from it all, when the life you have just isn’t enough, I mean you go to college, you get a job and one day you wake up and you realize you will be like this until the day you die, there is a whole world that you haven’t seen, so I’m gone, I’m out of here, I’m searching for something different, something more beautiful, something more dangerous.
There is a world behind these walls that I just need to see! That’s why my second passion is it to travel and to discover the world we live in. What remains are the images, the images in my head, the images on my camera, the moments when these images were created. For me, a photograph is always more than one can see. It is a part, an excerpt from my life, a personal experience which I share. Once you have begun, you can not stop.
